Ka-bar 1232

New to the forum, I have a Ka-bar model 1232 but instead of it having and single sided guard mine has a double sided guard. I can't find any information on it. All of the pictures I seen of this model only show a single sided guard. Does anyone know anything about mine with a double sided guard?

Never saw one with a double guard before, not to say it isn’t possible. Does it show any signs of being modified?
