I am keen to buy this D2 Phat Bob Ka-bar 4083 to use alongside my other Doziers. Can I do that from New Zealand using Mastercard, does anyone know?

I already have the other version in AUS 8A and have used it every day since it arrived a few weeks ago, but I thinkI really need the D2 version :)

Well, my credit card is confirmed as linked to PayPal now and I am all ready to hear back again from the man with a D2 Phat Bob I can buy, but not a word has come back from him - just a note that shipping to NZ will cost more and that's it :confused:

That was a few days ago. Now all is well. The knife is shipped and on its way to NZ. On Friday I used my 4082 to cleave 6 fresh, free range, organic chickens down one side of the spine, hard work for a pocket knife, and the AUS 8A steel was a little dull at the finish. I am looking forward to being able to comment on how the 4083 in D2 steel handles a similar task.

Today it arrived, my Dozier designed Ka-Bar Phat Bob with a D2 blade already fits like it belongs in my hand. Mine is #31 - 1000. For the money, and from my experience, I will expect unusually good edge holding with D2 and will be putting it to test in the next few weeks. After all my uncertainty about how to make a mail order purchase it all turned out good and the vendor has my recommendation.
