Ka-Bar 7507 Jarosz Large CHOPPA

I watched the whole video and Ethan makes a great point. For medium and short blades I absolutely agree. A 5 inch blade but half of it is a choil? Not very useful. But for larger blades I love how choking up on the blade to the choil brings the balance closer to the hand for more controlled fine work, Just my opinion, but I understand its not for everyone.

I'm kind of torn. I'm not a big fan of the choil on my Bk5 haven't really had much use for it. But I love it on thd ugliest knife I own my Esee LS.

I like choils. And I also like recurves, and swedges, and many other little things that may not be practical, but are aesthetically pleasing to me. To me, a knife has to be a good performer AND look good, at least to me, since taste is purely subjective. If I need to do fine work on wood, I'll grab a pukko. That said, I do like the choil in the Choppa because it adds a bit of flair to an otherwise simple and brutal piece. So far, the choil has not diminished the hacking ability of it.

Ethan explains it perfect in that vid
Anyone that puts a choil on a BK9 should be hanged for ruining a blade :D
