KA-BAR acquires an Icon......

Very, very cool!
I remember seeing those knives in dad's SOF magazines in the '80's and thinking how cool the paracord wrapped handles were. Can't wait to see what KaBar does with them!!

This exactly. I didnt understand why the handles were cord wrapped, but I did know that there was something about those knives that facinated me. Its funny. I was just talking about these with my dad, and asking him who made them, and we couldnt remember the name of the company, so I didnt know what to google. Weird how the world works sometimes.

This is excellent news. I have wanted an EK since I saw them as a kid.

So I surmise KA-BAR will keep the EK logo and brand name on the knives, and not just use the designs with KA-BAR only? The reason I clarify this is I like that KA-BAR's collaborations knives says ESEE or JAB or Dozier on one side and KA-BAR on the other.

I still have my old Cutlery shop catalogs from the 80's/90's, i spent much time salivating over the EKs in there! The M4 and M5, and the special model with the fine checkered gunstock grips. I'm very much looking forward to the Ka-Bar versions!

"Clattering of hooves",you crack me up.I remember the dining table conversation segueing into Ek knives a while back and now I recongnize why you kinda had that"i just humped the neighbors cat"grin going.OPSEC on half moon ridge.
