I'm selling my 1st Gen KA-BAR Becker BK2. For those who don't know, the 1st Gen knife doesn't have the extended pommel and features a solid tang (no cutouts like on the current model). This knife hasn't made it out on any trips, but has been used in the backyard to split some wood. The coating has some wear, which you can see. This coating never lasts long anyway, so if you plan on using this knife, you can expect the coating to wear away even more and just as easily.
I've put a good edge on this knife. It is currently shaving sharp, although some claim that keeping the knife in the stock sheath has a tendency to dull the edge past the point of shaving. A quick strop or some passes on a stone should bring it back easily in the event you find that the sheath has taken off the extreme edge.
Speaking of the sheath, while this is the 1st Gen knife, I only have a 2nd Gen sheath for it. THe inside of the sheath has been sanded down ever so slightly. I tried to show it in one of the pics. The retention on the sheath is now very strong, but does not take thumbs of steal to release like it was previously.
