I would like a few things right now. Thanks to the nice weather a new motorcycle is topping that list. I haven't ridden in two years. I'm missing it horribly :(

Street :) super sport. I had a done up 2001 Suzuki GSXR 600. I'll dig up an old picture tomorrow.

My babies in the garage together..... sigh.. I miss them.

Sure looks fast TBL. Must be a blast. When those little monkeys of yours get a little older I bet you will find your self back on one of these.

I need to get out there and start my XR for the first time this year. I'm really thinking about selling or trading it soon. I just cant take kick starting this beast much more. Need one of those magic buttons.

:D it was a little quick. Top out around 170mph. Yep, been talking about it with the wife. Just need to wait for the right time in the budget. I really really wanted it to be this year, but it don't look like it.

Kick starting:thumbdn: Isn't there an aftermarket kit you can put for an auto starter? My brother inlaw ridged something up to his old dirt bike to make it a push button. Hes a mechanic and custom fabricator, I wouldn't be surprised if he just made it himself lol.

I wish that was an option. There are no E start kits for the XR600R. There is an awesome mechanic on Thumpertalk that converted one to E start. He made an amazing step by step thread on it with instructions, pictures and part numbers. But it takes about $1000 in parts and the ability to take apart the bottom half of a motorcycle engine. Now that I can do...But then you have to put it back together....Successfully. That part im pretty sure is where things start heading downhill for me. :D

I am a retired auto mechanic and I can do a lot on a motorcycle. But the bottom of the engine I stay out of.

Another thing I have seen is taking an engine from an XR650L which is electric start and putting it in my XR600R.

But I dont want to do all that work either. I want to feel the wind in my...uh.... beard not sit in my garage. :D

I think I'm just going to have to sell it and start a journey on something new. Maybe I will get lucky and find an interesting trade sometime.

Good luck getting yourself back on 2 wheels soon!

Nice! I suppose you had that custom made? What's the story?

Yes, I sent the images to a guy here who has the machine to do it. He made three of the BKT logo and one of the Beckerhead logo. If you look at the beckerhead logo you can tell it's a bit "fat". That's because the program he used to view and then print skewed the image a bit.

It must be a new record that there was more activity here in the KA-BAR Chat thread than in the Snark for a bit.

20 posts until 1000!
We can finish this thing this decade - unless the mods leave it open until 2000...
