KA-BAR Days at SMOKY MOUNTAIN KNIFE WORKS Saturday/Sunday

I was lucky enough to be vacationing down that way last week and was able to meet Mr. Becker on Saturday and purchase my 2nd BK&T knife, a BK16. He was really awesome to talk to and shared a lot of good info with my Dad and I. Thank you Sir, I am a life-long fan now!!
 
Just wanted to post a quick thanks to Ethan for coming out to SMKW!

My son and I had a great time chatting with you and getting some insights into your blade designs. We are looking forward to trying out a couple of the newer large blades designs we talked about. We kicked ourselves later, thinking that we didn't get you to sign the BK24 we were looking at together.

We also picked up a BK15 to try out and are already in the process of removing the coating before we take it out. Here are a couple photos we took to remember our outing.

I passed the exit early Friday morning on my way to a wedding. Came through there again in the late afternoon on Sunday and I assumed that Ethan would be gone by then, so I punted. Actually stopped at Bass Pro for a couple items. Saw Ethan at Blade the week before.
