Hi Gang- I just ordered an Orange KA-BAR/Dozier folder from AG Russell. They have 2 left. :D. These folders look like a nice bang for the buck.
Who likes these folders?

I do. They are some serious edge for the money. So light, you can clip them on swim trunks and not notice them.

I use a brace of them at work, and if they can survive my plant, they can survive anywhere.

Do these knives have an adjustable blade pivot? I have two of them - when I turn the pivot screw the whole assembly rotates but nothing tightens or loosens. Great value knives though.

I have one but since I haven't been home in 13 months, I haven't gotten to play with it yet.:(

It is one of THE best buys in the entire knife world. I put it up there with Mora knives and SAKs as far as bang for the buck.

I agree whole heartidly (spelling?). I've had a few for years and given a few as gifts. It was one of my favorite EDCs for a very long time. If I hadn't stumbled across this candy (more like heroin) store called Blade Forums, one would still be in my pocket everyday instead occasionally. Mike

I have one with the coyote brown handle, and it goes everywhere with me. It's sharp (out of the box), stays sharp, very light and inexpensive. And it's a Ka bar :) What more can you ask for.

I gave a couple to construction/carpenter friends for Christmas a few years ago. They beat the hell out of them. They hold up.

Thanks, Gang.
Thanks for the pic, Moose.
I guess I'll have to get one more... a zombie Green.

The only thing I don't get about so many of KA-BAR's folders is why they have a locking back design instead of a liner lock?

A linerlock would require at least 1 metal liner, which would increase the weight. Especially two liners would be (I think) more heavy than this midlock. Might up the machining cost too, stamping out the liners, bending one, drilling holes for the screws,... Imo, I prefer back/midlocks anyway. They seem more sturdy and failproof to me. Of course, you could make anything fail :)

Futhermore, I agree with Guyon: one of the best buys out there. There are several good buys out there quality/performance wise, and this is definitely one of 'em.

We need to see a tanto model.
Yes, the lockback is a great, strong design.

Extremely good values. I have one in coyote brown, foliage green, black, blaze orange, pink, zombie green.

Green? Why yes, yes they do come in Green.
:D
The Coyote Brown is nice also.

These designs are Mr. Bob Dozier's. You can check his website, and his knives out, Bob don't do tantos. :D

BUT.........there is the Zharon.......

I don't know if the blade will fit on the Dozier handle, my guess would be no.

But, the Zharon is of similar build, but with stainless liners to strenthen it up some. A little heavier, but still a helluva value for you monies.

Thanks, Guyon.
I like 440C. I always have.
My Lightweight will be here tomorrow, because of the holiday.
