KA-BAR/Dozier Lightweights

I just received my Orange & Black Lightweight Dozier K/B and I have to say that this folder is just perfect, in all respects.
I'm going to EDC this one.
Sorry, no pic.
Thanks.

I love mine.
Tough, razor sharp, and very light in one small package.
Just wish it had the thumb stud on both sides.

Thanks, willc.
Dozier knows how to make a knife the way a knife needs to be made. :D
This folder just feels so good in the hand. The handle is perfect. Typical Dozier.

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago and have been singing the praises on BF. It is quite the knife for $20-$25. I hope you enjoy yours. You may just end up buying a couple of them and spreading them around in choice places much like you might a SAK. I love Vic SAKs.

Just wanted to get this topic back to page one. This knife is really amazing for the cost... I had two gripes about it. One: it's not a fast opener, at least not for me. Two: the edge of the locking bar is really sharp and can become uncomfortable. Just took the knife apart and rounded the edges of the locking bar (80-100-360-600 grit) and I gave the blade a good oiling. Gripe 2: solved. Gripe 1: improved but not perfect (I might want to add washers, maybe that helps). Still, I'm a happy camper. Not a lot of blades out there that give you similar materials for this price. Another thing: the simplicity of the knife itself is just beautiful. Just like an Opinel it consists of only a few pieces. Two screws, that's it. Not a lot of modern folders out there that present you that kind of simplicity to work with. The simplicity is just AWESOME when tweaking it like I just did. Thanks KA-BAR!

Just got one in myself just today (in a nice understated shade of tan...reminds me of my Army days :p),along with a BK2 (my first BK series,VERY much in love with it so far :D). First impressions are VERY high, looks like I finally retire my old EDC knife for this one,I'll be ordering more :D

I've been getting a ton of use out of this. It's a great size, shape and texture. I just hope nobody thinks I'm going green.

It is one of THE best buys in the entire knife world. I put it up there with Mora knives and SAKs as far as bang for the buck.

Wow… a mora of folders. Very nice. Might have to pick one up after Christmas (if funds are kind to me).

I bought a pink one for my wife some time ago and I gotta say its awesome she uses it all the time around the house. Ill have to pick up the toxic green one to go with my green Mule!

Love it  And just make sure you have at least one ride that gets under 15MPG's for no specific purpose served and they'll be alright (those thinking you went green) :P

Forgot to post a pic of mine. Colors remind me of my Army days,LOL :p

With my also new BK2,these two go together like copy and paste :)

Ordered up one for my youngest daughter, who asked for a pocket knife for Christmas to replace the Frost junker she found. Super excited for her. And me!

BRL- What color?
I "was" going to order a custom folder from Bob Dozier but why? :D

I love mine. I have the Dozier Hunter folder with the thumb-hole and another with the thumb-stud. I prefer the latter. I also have one of the Mini's. They're a great value as well.

I have full size in coyote and orange and a small in zombie green. I gave my Dad a full size zombie green, my son a small zombie green and my daughter a small pink. They are great knives. I have used mine pretty hard and carried it a lot and it just keeps on ticking. I love how light they are. Can't go wrong for the price. I also have a Zharon, but the truth is I don't carry it much. It feels significantly heavier to me, and the drop point blade is more useful for what I do with a knife than the tanto point. It is a decent knife for the price too.

I won one from a photo contest here a year or two ago. For a few months this past year it was my only knife I had available. Never failed, super light, always very sharp and easy to sharpen, too. Great pieces!
