Valiant Golok. Slices through grasses, thick enough to chop with - and especially to limb with. Curved handle is very effective. comes in different blade lengths, generally about 1/4" thick but does NOT feel like a crowbar at all. May rust since it's carbon steel, just remember to rub it down.

Jeff Randall (Randall Adventure Training) says that Condor makes the best machete in the world. If his highly experienced advice isn't enough for you I don't know what is. The man knows his stuff.
