I have some fixed blades made by KA-BAR:
Kukri Machete in 1085
Becker BK-7 in 1095 CroVan
Becker BK-9 in 1095 CroVan
I have tested all 3 with tough knife tasks like chopping and batoning, all 3 passed my tests with flying colours. I have not tested any as a pry bar because . . . well because they are knives, if I buy a pry bar then I'll test to see how well that can pry stuff.
Based on my experience with the 3 KA-BAR knives I own I'd give them a 10/10 for quality, design & value. They make good knives and are well priced for how good they are (~$40 for the kukri, ~$70 for each Becker). The only thing I have needed to do is undo the nuts from the bolts that hold the scales on and add threadlock for my BK-7 & BK-9 - the overall design is great and I can't see either knife failing with normal knife tasks even with heavy use.
My KA-BARs:
My Kukri Machete:
My BK-9:
My BK-7 can baton:
