Ka-Bar: old school or next generation?

WOW! Talk about ressurecting an old post! I recommended Camillus web site in a previous post just a few years ago.

id get...an all black original usmc in 1095 with a kraton handle.

you know I was really surprised to watch the years go by, since we started down the road of super materials, and not enough IMHO knife makers honored the tried and true Ka-Bar.

excellent blade, proven design, and yet with all the handle materials, all the sheaths, not one make i have seen actually went back and did a true Ka-Bar with a full tang and super handle material. some got real close but not a real match. maybe now is the time? who knows.

Even if it is a six year old thread, I'll throw in my vote for the BK7. It fits the bill better than any traditional Ka-Bar. The Becker will be much more sturdy.
