I have to admit seeing the BK2 stand up to an A-bomb sold me! I just wonder if the stacked leather on the USMC Ka-Bar can withstand the nuclear wind and heat? Between the bomb and slicing the olive, I just don't know what people expect out of a knife???
The Ka-Bar is also available with Kraton handles, 3 different sized blades, a Next Generation model in 440A Stainless Steel and the D2 Extreme in D2 steel. Ka-Bars haven't been around this long with the same tang and a lifetime waranty if it failed often. Most last longer than its owners military service and then get passed down to the next generation. And if by some strange reason you do break it, they send you a new one.
