Ka Bar pommel removal.

I am helping a guy out that broke his vintage Ka-Bar. I cannot get the pin out. I can see it only on one side. Do the old ones need drilled out and not go all the way through? Thanks for your help.

Yes the pin goes all the way through ..
punch it a little and see how it moves on the other side .

Got it. Was only in one side. Had to drill it out. No hole going clear through.
