KA-BAR Short Black or KA-BAR Kraton Handled Mark I ?

Which knife should I buy,KA-BAR Short Black or KA-BAR Kraton Handled Mark I if I want a good knife for combat fight? I really like mark I but I'm not sure if mark I is a combat knife or not? My purpose of having this knife is only to use it for defending myself and I'm not a knife expert so I need your guys to help me get the right one.

Welcome. For a combat fight, of the two you mentioned, I prefer the sabre grind of the classic "short." (And it has a blood groove )

The Mark I was really designed as an on-ship utility knife.

Now if you want a pure combat fighter I'd get a Mark II or a Fairbairn Sykes. Purpose built for the task and my preference for combat fighting.

Okay I see that MKII . There's no MKII in my country for sure.
