There is a number and a alphanumeric on the ring - 5103 and S35VN - IF the S35VN is the steel type, I would guess that the 5103 is the Kabar model number.
Good looking sheaths, nice blades and awfull, awfull handles. Blue and purple zytel to leather sheaths? C'mon...
The blade shapes look like good bush craft blades but the handles are a swap right off the bat. The handles could have used ethans touch!
If the production bosses only came in those colors I would still probably grab a blue one. Would be awesome to see one in black or black with toxic etc. worst case scenario it wouldn't be hard to remove the scales and do a wrap anyway. Still curious on the price point and steel.
I not a follower of the ZK knives, but looking at this picture, I noticed that the ZK fixed blades had US flags engraved on them. I memory was saying that all the ZKs were "International", e.g., Taiwan. So I went to the Kabar website and ALL of the fixed blade ZKs are listed as Made in USA now using 1095, not the SK5 mystery steel they used to be made with.
So, when did this happen? Have I really been that asleep at the keyboard, or did it never get publicized for some reason.

it's been a long while. long long long while.
nobody seems to have had a complaint about SK5 yet. no worries there.
Any sense on the overall length and blade length on the two in the middle?
I wonder if these production bosses will be chisel ground? Anybody know?
not the SK5 mystery steel they used to be made with.
