Even though the Canadian dollar has almost reached parity with the US dollar, the ka-bar isn't that readily available here. The places that carry them tend to charge a premium for it, and it's either that or get stuck with shipping/duties/hassle when ordering from the US. The Buck is fairly common--you can get at any Canadian Tire (hardware store) for under 60 CAD.

Wow I paid like $35 for mine and less than $80 for my next generation D2 Ka-Bar.
I'm jealous. 10 years ago I could joke that 80 CAD was around the same thing as 35 USD, but no longer. If things were still that way I'd never have been able to afford the two Busse's and the Swamp Rat I bought this month. Come to think of it I still can't afford them, but then again, common sense has never been my strong suit 
Yeah, we get ripped on prices, but I want to support canadian companys trying to make it, and 74.99 plus tax at warriors and wonders is good for canada.
