Ethan should see what he can do with tweeners using the steel and collaboration with Mora. That could be interesting.
Ethan hates Scandi Grinds.

Ethan was wrong about hi-viz handles too![]()
I didn't say right or wrong, I said hates. He has a scandi, a real nice one, but he still hates them.

They don't shoot them anymore, they feed them and then work them near death, again.Taiwan and China are apples and bowling balls. The Taiwanese government doesn't pull people out of their homes, stick them in forced labor camps, work them near to death, then shoot them.
I can't do taiwan or china. I feel like I sold a piece of my soul when I do, so it's mostly no go. I just do without or find a domestic equivlent.
I just returned from SMKW & was enlightened by an employee about some of thier new products. I had my heart SET on a KaBar WartHog fixed blade before i went there. I talked at length with one person & when i mentioned their new line, he went & got another employee. This guy said he took 3 of the new KaBar line (made overseas & one was the WartHog) camping for a weekend & used the heck outta them, but DID NOT throw them at all. He chopped, batoned & feather sticked with them. He then said all 3 handles came loose & one broke & came off. Thats when he said he saw that it was NOT a full tang knife. He said the tang only went in about 3" or so. NOT what I wanted to hear, so i passed. Too bad really, i mean how much more $$ could it have really cost to make a full tang knife ? I have learned that a full width, full tang knife is the best way to go for any knife that is going to see hard use. I hope i am wrong, but it seems that soon we will only be left with high dollar Made in America knifes & overseas imports. I think the allmighty dollar of profit will win out. Stock up on Beckers while you can. IMHO, there IS no comparison between Becker & KaBar. Becker RULES !!!
you see it all the time on knife/gun/gear forums people talk about how they only buy american but i have a feeling if you want through there house you find tons of overseas products.
No disrespect at all my friend. My money is my money & i don't have a lot of it, so i certainly don't want to waste it on something i will not be happy with. I'd rather buy another Becker. And just to be clear, they may be produced under the same name, but they are WORLDS apart when it comes to construction. A Becker is a full width, full tang, with handles that can be removed or TIGHTENED-should they ever come loose. As i said earlier, IMHO, there IS no comparison. BECKER RULES !!! It is better designed, better constructed & about the same money.
On the issue of the Warthog made by KA BAR, I have recently aquired one of these by the good graces of a moose and about 6 hours worth of research for a contest. It's gonna get beat on. I've got some folks ready to get down on this thing. And then in the end, if it survives, I shall gift it. And yes I've had beer.
Oh and I should say I have no I'll will to the people's of any country, be it china, or taiwan.
shit, i might just cut one of these up.
I thought filthy language was frowned upon.![]()
