Ka-bar vs Camillus

Mountainwind;
That is the first picture I have seen of that model. Is the back false edge really false or is it sharpened? It kind of reminds me of an EK Commando with a different handle. One of my EK's has a blade shape very much like that Ka-Bar and is sharpened 1/2 way back on the top edge.

But like you, I kind of like that model! Maybe my collection NEEDS another Ka-Bar.:D

I'm not sure if it is false or sharpened, but I will find out when it get's here as I am ordering it today.

Ah, hah! Dog of War said it. And I couldn't agree more that the main difference between the Ka-Bar and Camillus k-bar - has got to be the better handling due to the "oval" and smooth surface of the leather washer handle found on the current Ka-Bars. Steel wise - shouldn't they be about the same? Everything else is just cosmetic. Seriously, I can't help but feel like sometimes this age old comparison is like deciding on which "better" twin (darn, add Ontario and Case to the picture - that adds up to four makes) to save from a sinking ship! Aren't all k-bars sea worthy?
