Hey guys

I need a really cheap edc for work that i can use and abuse somthing for around 15 bucks or less so if i lose it or screw it up i dont care.

Was looking at the warthog with the clip point blade but dont know if it a good knife or not any info would help

thanks

I got one, like it a lot, used to use it before moving up to better knives. For $15 bucks it'd be a great knife.

If you can find a Japan made 'Hog in AUS8 then go for it. The newer models are not so great. Even the original models have some quirks. My wife has an original, and after a little reprofile, and tinkering it is a nice little user. I think like $19 at knivesplus.

i have one. its not bad. its very basic, but the blade is very sharp and its easy to open. good for its price. its more of a small, light, last ditch self defense weapon more than a utility knife.

the kbar dozier folders are like 25 dollars or so and u can get a aus8 blade with a backlock.

the byrd knives are also 25 dollars or so and are great for their price.

Mine was made in Japan, didn't realized they were made elsewhere now, man nothing is consistent anymore.

hey Brooksknives, get a KABAR MULE folder (drop point plain edge( from jay at W&W 9warriors and wonders) . The knife is freaking bulletproof, stands up to hammering with a rock , splitting wood, shaving fuzzies from sticks for firestarting etc. I've beat the hell out of mine. It was less than $60 CDN

They make a budget China model with different steel, and the AUS8 Japan model. Knivesplus carries both. For the $$ difference, get the good one, or honestly, buy a Byrd Cara Cara in G10 or FRN and be done for less than $30, with WAY more knife.

Check out the CRKT Pazoda or Pazoda 2. It has the 8Cr14MoV blade and the #2 can be found for $12+.

Buck Bantam. I believe it comes in a small, med, and large size. The small and med are in your price range.
