I'm looking forward to the reports and general success of this passaround. :D If it works out well, I may be encouraged to offer up one of my busses for another passaround . Top 2 knives in my mind are an FBM CG, and under considerable arm twisting, a Ruck.
KAAK, You ROCK!:thumbup::thumbup:

Well, we gotta start it by putting in David's excellent kydex/knife shots. The rest is up to the passaround folks...

Barrabas, you got that knife in hand, yet? Any fits of ecstacy to report? :D

Bryan
Very cool of you, I look forward to hearing the reviews of the FBM

David,
Great looking sheath and a very nice thing to do on donating the sheath

:D:D

Hopefully everyone will post pics and a short review. This will be fun!

KAAK, by the time you get the knife back it's going to have a nice character and an interesting history.

This has truly been an honor.
I had a blast doing a little chopping on some oak around the house on Friday evening.
Nothing major, but it was enough to see that Infi has some great edge holding.
I touched up the edge a little with a ceramic rod, oiled it, and now it is packed up and ready to send out to the next in line. - Barring any unforseen events, will have it in the mail tomorrow.

KAAK, when I send this out tomorrow, I will send you the delivery confirmation , and Insurance info for your records.

If you would like, I can send the hard copies of the Delivey confirmation/Insurance receipts with the cds coming your way - just say the word.

Now comes the tough question for me.
I don't have the cash to spring for a FSH currently, but would be very intersted in saving up for a Basic model w/sheath. Can someone direct me to the right place where I can get a 6" basic with sheath, and do the Basic models have the same blade thickness as the FSH?

Many thanks again KAAK for this opportunity.

Where are the pics?!;)

Finding a basic 6 would be very hard since they where for the European market. Your best shot would be here on the exchange forums.

Thanks Guys for the info.

Bryan,

Knife is now in route to the next in line.
Emailed you the Confirmation #.

Thanks again!!!!!

tblade - received it today in the mail.

Initial impressions -

The sheath is beautiful - extremely impressive work. The man making the sheath (sorry too lazy to scroll back and get your name) must really enjoy the work to make one as nice as that. The knife fits very well in the sheath. The force to withdraw is sufficient that the knife isn't coming out when it isn't supposed to.

Second impression - the knife handle is equally impressive. I absolutely love the pattern of the material and the handle fits my hand beautifully. The handle alone is a work of art.

third impression - the knife is MASSIVE. That is one really thick blade. Looks like it can stand up to anything. I really love that knife.

fourth impression - I love the balance of the knife. It feels like I could use it all day and not tire.

fifth impression - the finish on the knife looks like it can take a hell o a beating. That black matte finish looks like it has already taken quite a bit of punishment and still looks great.

Overall - VERY impressive knife - will have to start working on convincing someone that it is worth every penny spent on it. :D

KAAK - really want to thank you for the opportunity to handle and really enjoy this knife - it is a joy to look at, handle and use.

Thanks for the update
