Another impression - I have been wondering for some time now about the TekLok clip. The sheath has one on the back.
I am comparing the TekLok to the Bianchi clip. The TekLok is easier to close - it just snaps closed. Slightly easier to open, not much.
However, overall I think I much prefer the Bianchi clip. It is all metal. I can use it slipped over my belt without closing the prongs if I am only going to be using for a short time and am not concerned about the security and staying on the belt. If I am concerned I can close the Bianchi clip prongs and I KNOW it will absolutely NOT come off.
This may also indicate a preference on my part - in parts that can take punishment and which I am relying on completely, I prefer metal. I am positive the web belt would fail before the metal Bianchi clip would break or fail. I am not as sure about the plastic TekLok. The tabs in the clipping mechanism on the TekLok I am sure would not take as much use or punishment as the Bianchi clip.
Getting this chance to view and use the TekLok up close has convinced me that I will only use the Bianchi clip in the future.
I just took the TekLok clip off the sheath. The Bianchi clip would fit using the same holes. The mounting holes on the Bianchi clip would have to be drilled out very slightly to fit the mounting hardware used in mounting the TekLok, but other than that no modifications would have to be made.
The TekLok is a good piece of equipment, but I think the Bianchi clip is far better and more secure. Just My Opinion though.
Note: I have no connection with Bianchi other than as a user of their equipment and their clip.
