I'm really sorry for not checking thru those forums... it's too easy to get stuck in the GKD as the 'world' forum. (If a mod wants to move it there, cool, & many thanks)

oh, and thanks for the replies... I can see the hole use now, hanging off a cut branch stump near the campfire... if it's in constant use every few minutes, then you'd not want to sheath it, and clean it constantly each time

I still am not a fan of the sheath shape tbh... It could be thinner and still be pack attachable without the protruding grommets

Pretty sure you guys are wrong about that hole. It's a speed hole to make the knife go faster.

The new Becker looks great. I didn't know that Kabar had a custom shop. I would love to own one, but I will not pay the suggested price regardless.
