Anyone have and use this knife? I looked at one yesterday. It sure felt good in my hand. Its pretty weight forward and feels like it would be a good chopper. Thanks.

I've got one and it's the knife that I beat around campsites. It will do anything pretty good and it's cheap...Cheers!!!

I asked the same question not long ago, but not too many folks on this forum have one. The few that did reported very positively about them and said they liked them very much for general duties. I was heavily considering getting one versus a couple of other KaBars, but actually decided to pick up the Heavy Bowie just this afternoon.

I'll still eventually get the Camp Knife, but I know that I'll want to grind off the guard and probably try to convex it and ditch the hollow grind. I just didn't feel like dealing with that right now. Still a very cool knife that I'd like to own, the balance is great and it's very comfortable in the hand.

Good luck with your decision!

Thanks. This time I bought the Alpha Wolf hunting knife from KOA. Its a neat little D2 hunter that really felt good to me. I have been looking at it for a couple years. I may still pick up the camp knife before hunting seasons start next month.

I have a 8" tanto from Ka-Bar and I have put the boots to that thing. I treat it like my BK7, I give them no mersy.:D

I got the 7" traditional Ka-Bar, its a sturdy knife and the edge holds nicely even when chopping wood with it. I'd recommend as long as you like the feel of it.

Thanks guys. I also looked at the second generation Kabars. So many knives, so little money.
