Hey folks I am thinking about picking up a Kabar Little finn very soon, my biggest questions is can it be concealed with the sheath it comes with? I want to try carrying a fixed blade for edc but open carry is prohibited where I go, is it possible to carry it inside the waistband with the provided sheath?

The "little finn", model 1226, is easily carried concealed in it's factory sheath in loose, roomy pockets, but the sheath is designed with only belt carry in mind.

To use the factory sheath as an IWB would not work unless you added some type of belt or waistline spring clip to slip over the waistline of your pants. The cost of that mod would be better spent on making, or having made, a sheath speciffically designed for IWB.

The 1226 is a great EDC small fixed blade. Will it take down a herd of zombies or batton through a mature redwood? Nope. But it is great at cleaning and skinning birds, dead fish smaller than Moby Dick, and varmints as well as being hell on wheels at opening letters, clampacks, bags, sacks, boxes, those pesky sealed sandwich contains at convenience stores and other mundane, day-to-day cutting chores. :D I have several of them.

I wear a lot of dressier clothes for work so pocket carry is not really an option for me. My main issue is that cutting zip ties and those blister packs things with a tinker isn't really cutting it, and currently folding knives where I live that lock open when the blade is held and then dropped are called "gravity knives" even though they are not at the current moment. I really miss being able to carry pretty much whatever I want in my home town. I am probably going to make some sort of loop with paracord to get it on my belt in some way to carry it.
