Kabar Pistol Bayonet

BTW,I just over at NGK, they apparently has a version out now that has a serrated spine.Talk about an even scarier knife.

Aw c'mon, Jill, this great idea dates from back when pistols were single shot flint or percussion locks. Suppose you just finished installing a new carrier bearing on your '77 F150, and you want to clean the grease out from under your fingernails. Using a regular pocketknife would slow down your draw if attacked by a criminal, due to not wanting to drop the knife on the concrete and nick the blade.

With the pistol bayonet, you're all ready for personal defense while attending to personal hygiene. Keep your finger off the trigger, however, to avoid removing fingernail grease more quickly than intended.

What I want to know is, how well does the black Teflon coating resist muzzle blast?

I think CZ came up with that idea some years back.

The idea is even older than that.....

From Ka-Bar's perspective I'm sure it's not silly at all. Price is low enough that I'm sure a ton of people will buy it for novelty alone.

i never liked any bayonet. if you are facing more than one opponet the 1st one san get stuck rendering your weapon useless.

That is why you pull it out! Ammo runs out, but knives have infinite ammo!

Plus, when you knife somebody: YOU STEAL A LEVEL FROM THEM :D!

i've got one on my springfield xdm40. i just think it looks neat, and its different. it also looks kind of intimidating, so it gives a good scare if you use your pistol for home defense

Yep, its about a year old or so now, but they just put out a new one that's serrated on the spine

At the very least, it makes it a bit more dangerous for someone to try and take your pistol from you or jam the slide back. It's just about the perfect stab-through-the-hand length.
