Kabar Pistol Bayonet

Regarding the NAA, a tiny bayonet may actually make one of those things into a manstopper. Those guns are one of those things best suited to sticking onto an assailant's gut and firing, a weapon for use when in contact, or damn near. In that way, the bayonet makes sense. Unfortunately, it adds enough bulk to negate the extreme portability of the gun in the first place. May as well carry a bigger gun.

The gun doesn't have enough of a grip to be able to get a good enough purchase to stab with it.

History repeats itself.

IMHO Not a bad idea if attached to a slow reloading / low capacity pistol. Kinda worthless if mounted to the front of a 17+1 auto.

Cramsey3006,

The tang is 1.887" long.

GWashington1732,

There are two clips that snap onto the Picatinny rails. They are under tension with a coil spring.

Marcinek,

LOL. Now were all getting the jist of the pistol Bayonet. It was concieved after a night of too much alcohol and debauchery by KA-BAR's and Laserlyte's VP of Sales. When I got to work, it was sketched on a cocktail napkin and taped to my computer screen.
That's how great products are concieved.

I always wondered how products were conceived; now I know.:D

I kinda suspected that all along. It's a brilliantly impractical design. I'm emailing you some of my CAD renderings of submarine screen doors as we speak.

You are absolutely right about that. There's a prominent marine accessory company I used to work for that had several products developed do to over consumption of alcohol and boats being sunk.

Despite my rant about rails...and I do hate rails...I think the KaBar pistol bayonet is kind of a fun thing and now "knowing" ;) that is was conceived after a night of drunken debauchery just makes it more so. It is also fun to know that an outfit like KaBar, with such a history, can have a little fun with us.

You gotta wonder how many people, out of morbid curiosity went looking for the darned thing, found their website (or that of one of their dealers) and then bought a more conventional KaBar or even one of the classics.

I say bravo KaBar for being such good sports.

"Toooj"
i presume there will be plans to extend the pistol bayonet line after boxing day?
seriously, did management ever think about getting it featured in the movies?
it's bound to be hot with computer gamers ;-)

Girlyman,

There are several versions with different blades. Check out the Laserlyte web site.
As far as getting into the movies; that's Laserlyte's call: it's their product.
