That's a wonderful concept; How does it work?
For example... Let's say I'm having a GS made. Id like to designate a particular kami for the job. When I receive the sword, and approve of it, would that be the opportune time to send any gift? I personally like the idea of letting the kami know that, "a customer just placed an order with us, and if he's impressed, he let me know in no uncertain terms, that he will be giving you a monetary gift." I feel it gives an incentive. Can we specify who gets our gift? Is it possible have a roundup of useful items once and a while, and ask either Uncle Bill or whoever to take some items (looking like personal property of the courier) back for us and hand it to a certain kami? I don't know the Nepalese "mindset"; does the system leave any room for jealousy, or is the "kitty" divided equally? Any ideas would be most welcome, guys... Dan
Uncle Bill is smart using a system like that; it's a win win situation. The tipping is a great incentive, and you know the kamis appreciate the gesture. Oftentimes giving is truly better than receiving. Dan
