You remember Sher Bahadur, Kumar's older brother, who got stuck with making the 200 kagas katnes? Well, he got his first assignment making a full size 18 inch Ang Khola and did he ever go overboard. I guess making all those little khukuris day after day got to him so when he got to a full size project he went after it with a vengance.

He made two 18 inch AKs and I have never seen such overkill. These knives are 9/16 inch thick and weigh about three pounds, the heaviest 18 inch AK I have ever seen! And, he did a great job in addition to the overkill. It is a 10 out of 10 rig. So, if anybody out there has a fondness for heavy khukuris with blades that only a D-9 could bend or break, here's your chance.

I had to laugh when I saw these because they told such a vivid story of frustration released. I'm glad Sher has some "real" khukuris to make for a change.

Uncle Bill, I think your nickname for this particular khuk is both humorous and appropriate: "Sher crazy" (a takeoff on 'stir crazy' I assume). At any rate, based on my admittedly limited experience with khuks, this "Sher Crazy" represents the ideal working khuk.

'Tis a manly AK

Those pent up frustrations can sure be useful at times. Nice rig.

Now THAT is an AK! I for one hope Sher NEVER settles down!

Uncle Bill, are there any more Frustration Specials on order? Please put me down for one before Sher calms down and starts making normal AK's again. Just to verify: (assuming Sher is able/willing to duplicate this khuk) 18"+/- OAL; around $145+/-?

Please don't get me wrong--I don't wish frustration on anyone, but if someone is already frustrated, might as well make something good come out of it.
