--Kamisori style straight razor - w/kydex SOLD--

This is my version of a kamisori style razor. Not traditional by any means, just wanted to have a bit of fun. This razor has a very fine edge, and it will shave. You can also carry this piece for utility or self defense purposes


Specs: -

Steel - Aldo's 15N20. 1/8in
HT to recommended specs in my digitally controlled Evenheat oven

OAL - 7 1/2in
Blade length - 3 1/4in

Razor sharp chisel grind. Scotchbrite machine satin finish. Swedge grind meets primary grind.

Black round cord wrap.
West System epoxy hardened.
Turks head knots for secure and safe grip.

Fold over style kydex sheath. Configured for neck or pocket carry. IWB compatible.

Is it shave ready as a straight razor? What grit did you finish the edge at? On the bevel side of the blade, is it a hollow grind or flat grind?

All surfaces are flat ground. I thought about hollowing the back, but nah. The edge is almost at zero with a slight secondary bevel. I used a 600 grit belt, and a leather belt with green chrome.

I'm confident that this will perform admirably in front of a mirror.
