Right around the corner in clay center. Are you going to be making all the noise over there? You will enjoy the area. Lots of stuff to do in Manhattan. Bring your fishing/hunting gear if that is what you are into. Fort Riley is just around the corner from Tuttle Creek Lake and Milford Lake - lots of public hunting areas and the fishing is generally pretty good - get to know somebody with a boat. The Post itself is pretty interesting - alot of history there. Probably one of the more scenic areas in the state - don't believe all the rumors you have heard about Kansas being flat.

Try to make it down to Hutchinson (about 2.5 hours from Fort Riley) and check out the Cosmosphere. Probably the most interesting thing in the state.
