Hi Guys,

I am looking for a karambit like knife called a kerpoz or terpaz (?)
The knife has a 2" curved blade with a small hook at the back and a finger ring and came with a leather sheath.
I was told Atlanta Cutlery still carried it, but a check of their web site didn't turn it up.

Thanks,

Greetings Tuhon Bill!

Atlanta Cutlery calls them the "Black Ninja" stock # 3-306 and they're Pakistani made.

Got two of them this week myself :D :D :D :D to tide me over until a custom made exotic wood handled Trainer & Live Blade pair are completed.

They are a little crude on metal finish, and need to have the finger rings inner and outer edges deburred.

The Sheath is a joke combination axe cover and sunglasses holder affair.

but for 15.90 a pair they can serve some disposable purposes quite admirably.

DaveF. - I will bring them to class today for "show N tell"

Thanks Pete for digging up the knife info for me. I looked through Atlanta Cutlery's web site but couldn't find it myself. The web page that has the knife is at: http://216.245.165.123/cgi-bin/www11651.storefront

I needed some samples for a project I am working on.

Trivia question. How many names has this blade been advertized as?
It is obviously based on a karambit, but I have seen it advertized as a "kerpoz" or "tripoz" and even the dreaded "Teradactyl knife."

Does anyone know who first marketed this knife?

Regards,
Bill McGrath

I've seen it advetised as "The Black Ninja!" No idea who makes it or markets it.

Tuhon Bill,

Off the side of the "Black Ninja" box replete with flying Pteradactyl, and Triceratops vs. T-Rex, Brontosaurus nibbling on a palm tree scene...... Too Cheesey :barf:

"An exclusive SARCO Design Licensed And Produced By Szco Supplies, Inc, In Pakistan Under Quality Control Supervision"

That Carbon Fiber handled & sheathed Kerambit version that Smoke bespoke of is just Tooo Kewl,:D , of course theres no MSRP attached http://www.tripleaughtdesign.com/kerambit.htm

If you click on "Add to Shopping Cart", it shows $250.

The Black Ninja is OK as a trainer for people with small hands, but it is not something you'd want to rely on.
