Ya but with the money you pay you get the warranty. Thats also what a lot of people pay for. Personally I prefer the Fox because its a better price (i like the steel better) and each time I send my fox in they take care of it as if I was their family.
But if I was torn between choosing a knife that had a good warranty AND a knife that has a equally good warranty, but superior blade/handle materials and fit (irrespective of finish, which we'll assume is superior), which would I choose?
Tough question. Back when Gentleman Jims and V ground CQC-7's were released, they ran 220$ or shipped, and I believe that's how much something like the ZT 0560's and 0301's are going for.
It's unfortunate not many companies are licensed to produce Emerson designs. I have an automatic-Commander made by Kershaw, but that's the only non-Emerson made model that I really care for (other than the Benchmade CQC-7's floating around).
