Strider also makes a Kerambit. Its a Steve Tarani design.
BFC resident knife-maker Bill Siegle makes his own design Kerambits also.

Here's one from Emerson. A friend of mine has one of the prototypes from a few years back and it's pretty sweet. I'm hoping to get one in the next few months.

Best of luck in trying to get a kerambit from Keen Edge Knife Works. They've been out of stock for several months with no definitive ETA for them.

Okay, here I am. I cannot belive I missed this post thus far.Anyway, take a look at my new ebsite, it doesn't have everything on it but it's a quick overview. I make almost exclusively Karambit/Kerambit. Very few other types of knives do I make and yes, if someone asks I will make note of technoque and usage for the lay person. As well, check http://www.tadgear.com/edged tools/custom knives/richard_derespina.htm

and http://knifeart.com/ricder.html

TAd is out of my stuff right now but there are examples there of how I work, they have three or four pics. As well, knifeart only has one left. I sent them 7 and 6 are gone already. Again, just examples of how I work and what is possible with my karambit. Here's my website www.derespinaknives.com it will be updated very soon with a more approximate availability and new pics and such. The two new models coming are a 6 " double edge battle karambit and another 4" karambit both with full tang hidden handles and extremelt fast. Keep a look out for the pics at my site. They will be available either through me (wait list is currently 2 months approximately, give or take a month) Or through Triple Aught and Knife Art. Take care guys......RDT

RDT -

Any chance that you'll be making a smaller, more traditional Malaysian-style kerambit anytime soon? I've been searching for one for quite some time.

Short Bus,
Sorry but nothing terribly traditional as of yet. The 6" Battle Karambit will be the most traditional version yet. It is probablt more what you are looking for but will be too big I imagine. As for smaller versions, my model 1 that has been out for a few years now like the one in my avatar is just about a 3" blade and would meet most needs of anyone who wants a karambit. Notice the dual guard for use in forward grip should you desire to do so. and if for some reason in the heat of confrontation you screw up and miss the finger ring, the dual guards allow you to feeel where you need to be for s sure grip and not get cut unlike many karambit's who have no guard what so ever. Howevere, as ofyet no totally traditional smaller versions are ready. Thanks for the reply. Take care......RDT
