Jeff has tons of orders and whatnot. Maybe you should try calling him, every time I've ever talked to him he's always given me his phone number and had excellent communication. Things happen, I would call him.
 
we have been in contact via email, as I prefer to use that for keeping records. He is usually quick in responding, but he said my scale was done almost a month ago, yet I have not seen it. I can only communicate so much, something has to happen on his end as well.
 
Just being the devil's advocate, have you considered it might have been lost in the mail? Sending things is not always a sure science when it comes to the couriers. For what it's worth I'd still call him, he's an excellent guy in my experience to work with and I'm sure most on USN would agree.
 
Its always a possibility, its happened to me. I'm not saying he's not a great guy, but seems like my order has fallen through the cracks.
 
I thought I read someplace that he had some kind of injury. I emailed him over on USN the other day and haven't heard back yet. I'm not throwing a clot though.

Edit: I just read over on USN that he has a lung infection and he's recovering from that.
 
I ordered a scale from him as well, about october, so I'm running at about 2 months too.
I called him recently, talked to his wife (i think) and it seems like he's been pretty sick.
I'm on the fence on this one. I was going to post a thread up but since you already have, I'm waiting for a scale for my Ti Military.
Anyways... hopefully he gets to us soon, you're right, 2 months for a scale is a long time to wait. But then again some of the work I've seen him do is impressive so...
I don't know. I just hope he fixes this soon. This is ridiculous.

Hopefully he gets better. Anyways, just wanted to throw in my experience thus far. I'm on the same boat as you zack.
 
We have been in contact, didn't realize the infection was as bad as it was. He says he willl make it right, so all I can do at this point is hold him to his word. It would nice if I could at least get a tracking number for the package.
 
He's also getting a new knife business up and running...he has alot on the go.
Did you ask for a shipping standard which would have a tracking number?
 
he says he shipped in via fed ex because he can't ship USPS Priority (my preference), due to the PO not scanning his packages since he does pre printed labels. Never heard of that before, but I'm no PO expert.

He has one of my knives as well. I have been texting him back and forth and he is in not so good shape. Lung infections are a terrible thing. Just give it some time and I'm sure he'll make it right.
 
First of all yes I've had, and have some health issues at this point. Second everyone I deal with gets one thing right off the bat...my phone number which is available for text, or to call 24hrs a day. I do that because it's instantaneous and it's always the easiest way to get ahold of me. For those of you that don't have it, or didn't save it it's:

Shipping via USPS has been an issue leaving San Antonio because, yes when you print your shipping online the PO is not required to scan in your package upon exceptance because delivery confirmation is free when you print postage via USPS's website. That obviously causes a problem for my PO. So I've switched to FedEx at this point.

Things have been crazy with my rib being crack, being just all out busy, and now this infection. I have roughly 30 knives here right now that have to get modified and sent out. In Zack's case I felt bad for the shipping issues we had so I told him I would refund his money and if and when the scale showed up he was more than welcome to keep it. And, morethan likely if it doesn't show I will make another for him anyway because I like to take care of everyone. I haven't refunded Zack yet because I've been in and out of the hospital the last couple days and it's just slipped my mind, but that's not an excuse so I'll get the $65 out to you today. Either way, everyone please remember to always call if you have an issue it's a lot easier to give you accurate info when I have you on the phone talking to you rather than trying to type from memory in an email while I'm doing twenty other things. And, anyone will tell you that I'll wind up talking to you for probably an hour or so!!! :). This isn't all about money for me, I love talking to everyone and I'd rather have a more personal relationship with everyone than just say "oh you need a scale/knife?""you got money!?!" that's not how I do things.

There are not too many times I won't answer my phone...either I don't have a voice, like the past few days, I'm in a hospital where I can't answer it, I'm on the other line with someone else, or picking up/dropping off my kids to/from school...because you can't be on the phone in a school zone. But, ad long as you leave a message I'll call back, and you can text anytime you like (like now that I've lost my voice), and it's real time 24/7.

Anyway, as far as the past few days go I've been pretty out of it, and my turnaround times have been blown out of the water, and will continue to be much longer due tithe fact that I'm swamped and I don't see an end in sight. Also, I have a facebook page for Karg Knives that I update with announcement info when I can.

Everything that I have here now I'm going to try to get out ASAP. And yes, as mentioned above I'm trying to start this whole thing up so there will be some hiccups to work out, but if you bear with me I'll always take care of everybody!!! Once I get thing running smoothly I plan to at least get one person to help me out with everything so that will help a lot too. It's amazing that things run so smoothly until you put a lable on them and start to stress about them. I've been modifying knives for people other than myself for a couple years now and never had issues. It wasn't until I decided to put my knives out and also offerthe modification services that things started getting wacky! :)

Anyway, just call anytime anyone needs anything and I'll make sure you're happy.

I never recieved the scales, something happened during shipping, and they just never came. He did refund my money and said if I wanted some more work done he would do it for a fraction of his normal price. No big deal in the long run, as I just traded the zaan for a Coyote Brown SnG CC. He was very apologetic about it, and made it right in the long run. I would have loved to have the scale, and if I find out the SnG I will probably trade back in a Sebbie or Zaan, and then I will have him make a scale for me, just would have to work out the shipping method.

I sent it last October 2010. You defaulted by not supplying me with the Hinderer scale I ordered in a timely manner and you have twice refused to give me my $135 back.

You have been taking knife modification orders here and elsewhere and returning the knives to your customers.

I am assuming you can afford to repay a $135 debt??

If not, why are you in this business?

It's a $135. I am not taking food off your family's table. It is my money, just to remind you.

It is the principal now and I expect repayment immediately. Do you have any principals? Do you care if I find you on the internet and post similar posts as this and spoil your reputation everywhere?

All I can be assume is you want your name put out there as a thief who won't pay his debts.

Correct me if I am wrong and repay your debts.

Don't be a deadbeat.
