I call this one Big Nasty because those were the first two thoughts to enter my mind when I finished it up. This one is big and nasty!

Big Nasty is my longest knife yet at almost 13" long. The handle is 5.5" long and the blade is about 7.25" long! I made this one out of .250" thick 5160 steel and differentially hardened it with the aid of my digitally controlled kiln. This "kata-kiri-ba" style blade features a steep chisel grind which has been slightly convexed to a sharp zero bevel. The spine is round nearthe grip and flattens out towards the tip. The black over blood red cord wrap handle has been soaked in West System epoxy, I find it makes a very good grip. I can include a custom Kydex sheath for $25 more. Acid washed Smoke and Chrome finish. Zombies watch out!

Handmade in the U.S.A.

It is hard to make out in the photos but it is signed with a nice deep etch.

The cord wrap ends with a square knot.

That is one seriously striking blade, or a serious blade for striking. I'm a little late to the party I guess.
