Katanas and swords in Alabama

Is it legal to carry around swords in public in Alabama?

maybe a traditional katana in a bag, if youre going to a MA class.

even if it is legal, would you really want to? carrying around a big ol sword all day would be annoying, and it would get you a lot of unwanted attention.

I think the best way to answer the question is to present yourself on the streets as a 'test subject'. Let us know when you get out.
