Katrina Knife

This is a knife I made for a friends son for Christmas
the wood is actually a penn oak that Katrina nocked down (oh I'm from central Mississippi) In his yard It had a major twist in it we were cutting it for fire wood but the grain was so twisted that it would not split so I let it dry and cut some chucks up then made this
 
Cool. I realy like the burl in that handle, and the combination of stag looks great. You might want to think about sending some of that oak off to WSSI for stabilizing, I finaly got around to doing that myself and cut some of the best looking blocks I've seen out of oak and pecan firewood. I'd been meaning to get some stabilized for years, but never did, now I wonder what took so long.
