Nobody needs to tell me I need to go on a diet!!

Sunfish on a jointed rap! That rivals my 5" perch on a 1/2oz spinnerbait.

Looks like a fun day out. However do you get back to the car? Do you park it down stream, or do you paddle back up?

Sherlock,
Todays trip was about 6 1/2 hours, we put one vehicle at the take out point and then drive up to the put in. Couple more pics.

It's just a regular water snake, I tried to find a moccasin for a pic but couldn't find one. Chris

Nice photos. Which kayak is that blue one? Been looking for a solo or double flat water kayak for my teenage sons.

RedWolf,
It is a Perception Montour 11.5, that is the name that Dick's sporting goods sells them under but it is the same exact boat as the Blackwater 11.5. It is quite a bit more tippy than my son's Otter, but has quite a bit better glide and I like the drop down skeg for flat water, makes a huge difference in tracking. Chris

Chris,

Thanks for the info. I saw the Perception and just wasn't sure of the model. I was thinking of something a little longer as it will be for flat water use and some camping trips. I use a canoe for myself and the younger ones. A kayak (or 2) for my older sons would serve them well.
