Nice vid. Looks like you caught the whale logging on the surface. They just hang out and rest.

Reminds me of snorkeling off Maui in '05...I went pretty far away from the boat then noticed everyone was high tailing it to the ladder and getting out. I was pretty scared to turn around because I figured there was a bull or white behind me...but I spun and there was a whale shark about 15 feet from me. Literally it was all I could see...the size of a bus.
The yuppies on the boat said they heard me laugh in my snorkel and after I got done swimming around the behemoth they asked me if I was crazy. I just giggled and reminded them it's a big harmless filter feeder...and I was the only one who got to enjoy the show.

Well...technically he didnt specify the origin of the "matter". That whale could probably pinch one off that could sink a kayak! Hehe.
