Nice vid. Looks like you caught the whale logging on the surface. They just hang out and rest.

Man that is an AWESOME video...you make me want to move and be a beach bum! (A long time itch I've never scratched)

Reminds me of snorkeling off Maui in '05...I went pretty far away from the boat then noticed everyone was high tailing it to the ladder and getting out. I was pretty scared to turn around because I figured there was a bull or white behind me...but I spun and there was a whale shark about 15 feet from me. Literally it was all I could see...the size of a bus.

The yuppies on the boat said they heard me laugh in my snorkel and after I got done swimming around the behemoth they asked me if I was crazy. I just giggled and reminded them it's a big harmless filter feeder...and I was the only one who got to enjoy the show.

I was riding up the coast on Highway 1 a weekend ago and saw dozens of these beautiful animals migrating north up to Monterey. I was hundreds of yards away. Your video is spectacular.

Joking aside, it can't happen. The total mass/weight of the fecal matter inside you and outside should be still the same

Well...technically he didnt specify the origin of the "matter". That whale could probably pinch one off that could sink a kayak! Hehe.
