Kbac 27d 2X Jumper

Hello all. Just got my new Ameribrade grinder set up. Had a question regarding the kbac VFD. I watched a couple of videos and read the kbac manual which discusses using the the 2X jumper to double the rpms. I have a 2 hp leeson motor that turns at 1740 rpms. Will using the 2X function negatively impact the motor long term?

It's actually better to have a 17-1800 motor at 2X than a 3600 at 1X. You maintain torque through half the speed range instead of losing it if going under 100%.
