I've got a KBAV 29 1p linked to a 3HP baldor motor that I have been running for about 15 months. Sunday it stops and the status light glows solid red (overload). I unplugged it and status light stayed solid for about 15 seconds then a click was heard from the drive and it went to quickly flashing red (drive timed out).

Does anyone have an idea of how to troublehoot this and get back up and running?

I thought that was the the status light I got for a short on one I had. Did you have the case open prior? Totally disconnect power and try again? Different circuit? I'm not sure you can do much else without an electrical engineering degree, judging by the look of the guts on those things.

So, after checking all connections and jumpers, I called KBAC and talked with tech support. They walked me through some diagnostics that took all of about 10 minutes and figured out that the unit itself was defective and wanted me to send it in for repair or replacement. Spoke to Walker Industrial where I bought it, and it is covered by warranty, I filled out the online form and in less than 24 hours had the return number for shipping the unit back to them. Both KB and Walker have been great to deal with, now I just wait.
