To all of you who are much more knowledgeable than I, is there any real difference in these two knives. I have never seen the kbar/dozier. Is there any play in the K-Bar?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I have both and find myself carrying the Dozier more.Blade shape is different but about the same length.I prefer the tip up carry on the Dozier.Thats why I carry the Dozier more. Both knives are great and for the price they can not be beat.

I've never used either knife, but I suspect they are very similar in quality. I would buy the one you think looks the best.

However, I would really suggest spending 10 dollars more and getting a Buck Mayo Cutback from Wal*Mart. It offers the advantages of a framelock (and one-hand closing), metal handle, and more interesting design.

I can only attest to the Kabar Dozier, but it's a helluva quality knife. There's no blade play in mine, and the AUS 8 blade keeps its edge amazingly well. Not bad for about twenty bucks.
