I was looking to trade my Spyderco Ayoob so I posted it on BF as you can see from the link.
KBR emailed me asking what I would trade for and a list of some knives he had to trade. Well in his list he had a Salsa. I had the Salsa DaveH did the passaround with and thought that was something I would use more then the Ayoob as I like shorter knives. It was a NIB blue plain edge Salsa. I really like blue and the photo KBR sent me was great.
So we did the trade. Well what a surpise I got when I opened the Salsa box and found a Chive in there along with my blue Salsa.
My first thoughts were that he had it stored away in the spyderco box and some how forgot it was there.
Then I read his letter and found out he was including it in with the trade, wow!
Totally unexpected and really unnecessary, but thanks a million.
I ended up putting the Salsa away and then I put the Chive in my pocket to play with the rest of the afternoon
That really made my day
