Now that is one sexy group photo

Mine made it across the pond into Canada.

For the last week, the shipping update shows "Arrived in Country of Destination - Canada."

Very annoying to say the least.

I got my shipping notice Monday, but it’s still not showing up in the system. There’s another thread here about the Keen that prepared me for the wait. When I ordered it I didn’t know it was shipping from China and I expected it to be here in a couple of days. Poor naive me!

Hey, that actually had a result. It says: “The Item is at the shippers warehouse“. Not much to go by, but still better than “not found”.

Thanks!

Expect it to stay in the shippers warehouse for a while. Mine sat there for about 3 days before it even got loaded up for shipment. That being said, mine is now stateside so I will be hopefully having it soon.

Mines here. I don't know if I will order from Drop again. Maybe if they disclose they are drop shipping from China. F&F is nice, good flipping action. Awfully thick for a ti frame lock, but I'm used to my Spydiechef at this point. Haven't done any cutting yet but the thick stock and short blade height has me wondering.

Mine showed as being in China doing nothing for 5 days, and then was magically in the Netherlands. PostNL tracking seems to be pretty loose.

Once it hit the US postal system I got all the updates I would normally expect from then on.

I wish mine would get cleared into Canada Post. It’s been sitting as arrived in Canada since last Friday. Ridiculous.

Hey mark and James my name is steve and it has been about 8 days since I got a new knife..a purple keen.

A real question though does the purple snail trail or scratch easily if EDC ‘ed? After waiting this long I don’t want to personalize it too soon. I love the action though

I wanted a purple smooth, but they were sold out so I got a grey grooved. Still like the purple, though, and if they do another run I might buy that one, too.

In any case, it’s still in China, unless it’s halfway through Azerbaijan on its way to Holland. They must ship by road or rail.

The purple doesn’t have a chalky texture, so it picks up trails less aggressively than the gray, but it does get them.

Here’s a link to an IG post I put up yesterday showing age from November to yesterday:

I have a Keen/Laconico.... I actually call it my Laconico... Yrs ago, I called Ray to have him make me a nice folder. He said he could, but he was ramping up for his first BLADE how in Atlanta, and I would have to wait a while. It never happened...my fault.
So now I have his "design" and I love it. I love it. I've had it for about 8 months? and never took it out of my pocket.
ibute21 said it's awfully thick for a liner lock and he's almost correct. I always push for thinner stock, and prefer around 0.110". But mine is a FRAMELOCK.
So then, why do I carry this knife every day, when I have several Sebbies and a Spyderco Slysz Bowie in the safe? EASY...
It cuts; it slices. the 5/32" spine never gets close to the stuff that I cut.
The edge is so thin...it is 0.015" behind the edge...THAT IS WHY IT CUTS...
I attribute that to Ray Laconico...he knows what it takes to slice and to cut.

All of my "fancy" other knives...fixed and folders...are usually 0.030" behind the edge.
'Nuff said.
p.s. right after I wrote this, I...almost.... bought a purple one with holes...perhaps pretty soon.
