Very nice Nick I am betting Mitch is going to love it. And I think the little extras will have made it worth the wait.
 
The knife looks awesome, but I keep going back to the handle photos. I can't find anything even close to a flaw or anything overlooked. It looks great how you have the different handle materials fit to each other but what I notice the most is your finish on the koa. It does not seem to show the open pores and the figure has a dramatic contrast to the wood. I am curious what sort of finish you used? Whatever you did, I don't think it could have looked better than it does.
