I've got quite a few 110's from the Custom Shop, most with premium steel and the higher end scale materials, but I think this is going to be the one I carry the most. I have a couple of other 110's with oak scales, but they have laser engraving in the oak. This one struck my fancy for some reason and I really like the looks of it. The wood isn't fancy but to me is just plain attractive and goes very well with the NS frame and bolsters. I think the rivets add to the look and also the finger grooves. The 420HC blade is nicely stamped and is all the steel I need for the uses I have for it.

It just goes to show (at least to me) that it doesn't have to be fancy to be something to be proud of.

 nice looking wood. I like the looks of the scale pins without the rocker pin a lot!
Classy looking 110!

That is a sweet looking knife Dave!

I love Oak, All of the furniture, picture frames & cabinets in our house are made from Oak. I've often thought about getting an Oak & brass CS 110.

I really like finger grooves. Plus you've got the Anvil, and "Designers Choice" stamp. Great knife.

I like it too. It has a certain "simple elegance" about it. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

The REAL stamp is essential for me to buy a knife these days.

The stamp including ANVIL is a big, big plus. Love the anvil.

That's one fine-looking knife.

I will never buy a laser-marked or "engraved" blade.

I'm waiting to see if the 2012 124 will have a real stamp or engraving.

I like it too, especially the fact that its the older 110 blade before they changed the looks of it,i think te new style is stronger with less tip snaps, but i still like the old look. She is a beauty.

that is one sweet looking knife with a nice looking piece of leather as well. it will make a great edc

A handsome knife Plumber. I like oak and it varies from different parts of the country. Plus, I like the sheath. DM

Thanks. The leather of course didn't come with it, but I have several new ones like that and they're my favorite factory Buck sheath.

Hi Dave -

I think that looks beautiful. I had thought about doing a custom one similar to that, but I had not been thinking finger grooves, but I agree with your assessment that the FG add to the beauty.

Thanks for the pictures

best regards -

Looks great! My favorite Buck that I have from the CS is oak, nickel (no finger grooves), and BG42.

Thanks guys, I'm really pleased with this one. The oak, although a plain wood, has a "glow" to it that I find very attractive and like jb I'm a fan of the wood. I have a couple of display cabinets, a filing cabinet and a huge roll top desk made of oak.

I'm heading off to a BBQ soon and I have it strapped on my belt.

Understated class and elegance. Anyone that sees it will be wowed.

"Fancy Scales and Premium Steels" can be fun, but there is a beauty in "Simplicity". Well done !!
