Keeping it simple.. my new favorite EDC 110

Very nice one, Dave!
I really like finger grooves. Plus you've got the Anvil, and "Designers Choice" stamp. Great knife.
I've never seen a Designer's Choice stamp... what are the criteria for its use? Do all of the custom shop variations get it, or just some? Do you know ahead of time, or is it a surprise?

I'm not positive, but here's my thoughts on this. The only 110's I have that came out of the custom shop without the "Designers Choice" stamp are the ones with S30V blades. They are stamped or engraved with S30V on the back side tang where the "Designers Choice" stamp would be. All the rest, the 420HC, BG-42, Damascus, and ATS-34 blades have it so at this point, I suspect if you order one with any of the 420HC blades you will get the stamp.

That's probably true, although it seems that they have gone over to engraving instead of stamping on most blades.

I'm still hoping they turn it around and get back on the right track with that and also get back to more and better steel offerings.

The "Designer's Choice" stamp was an unfortunate mistake. It really adds nothing to the knife and seems a little effeminate. It's a minor spoiler on knives so stamped.

But the knives themselves are superbly made, the cream of the crop--that's the most important thing.

My damascus custom shops do notnhave the designer choice stamp, the first custom i had made in 1999 just had regular date codes, not any hint of a custom except the card it came with.Thiose were stolen so i guess i don't need to worry about them now.LOL

I guess it depends on when they were made. Both of the ones below have the designer's choice stamp (hard to see, but they are there). I for one like the stamp and think they are a great idea, it helps identify a knife as coming from the custom shop.
