I bought it on a whim, and decided I'm not really into the carbon steel, and would prefer a stainless, or near stainless like Dozier D2.
Here's the blurb about the knife:
The Keesler Hunter has a 5-1/2" satin finished drop point blade of high-carbon tool steel at 57-59 Rc. The Birdseye Maple handle scales are pinned to the full tang with four copper pins and are separated from the tang with copper liners. Ringed stainless steel bolsters finish the handle. These are stock removal knives made in the United States. Measures 9-1/2" from tip to butt and weighs 7.3 oz.
Just to add my $.02. I love the sheath on this one. It's a very nice hand-made leather with tooling, and a dangler-type belt loop. The knife rides nice and low. The blade is quite wide and the finish is beatiful. The handle is nicely figured, with a lot of character. It was in the sheath when I bought it from Cabela's and has marks from that, but is otherwise NIB.
I'm mainly looking for a Dozier Arkansas Toothpick, or Agent, or something similar. A Bud Nealy Aikuchi would be cool, if it has the Multi-carry sheath.
I'm open to any offers, including quality folders (BM, Spyderco, Kershaw, ZT, Microtech, etc.)
Email me through the forums, or PM me, or post here.
Thanks, and thanks to A. G. for the borrowed pic.
