Here is my competition cutter that i got from Dan Keffeler back in December. I have had the pleasure of using this amazing blade quite a bit now and decided to make a thread and share some pictures and videos of it.

I have had no real training or anything -YET- but despite that this blade works GREAT. And coming from a guy with limited experience in fine cutlery and no real training you can see how it performs. The handle is very comfortable and the blade geometry is the best i have ever seen.

Lets get to the fun stuff.

This was in response to the water bottle cut video. A buddy said he wanted to see me cut thru the large detergent bottle in the background.. So i did.

This is an amazing knife from a guy who really knows what he is doing and i have had a blast using it and trying to improve my cutting techniques with it. I look forward to meeting Dan in the next couple months and improving even more.

Nice vids. I was really surprised at how well it went through that detergent bottle. That plastic is a lot tougher than that of a water bottle.

Ray I was honestly a little surprised as well. I had never tried anything other than regular water bottles so i was pretty happy when it made it through.

That's a SERIOUS piece of steel....nice work. :)

Dan let me check out his World Championship Defending cutter he used that afternoon so I have an idea of how it feels in-hand and that's superb, as you know.

Honestly Backhand just felt more natural for me for some reason, I havent really tried going from right to left yet... I think i will now though LOL

And thank you. I know ill never do it the justice it was done in the past but i hope i keep it happy, because it keeps me happy :D

Speaking of doing it justice....

The knife i have is actually one Dan used for a few years. Its the one he used to win the 2x4 derby at the 2011 national championships. And its also the same exact blade he uses in the youtube video Ill post below.....

Here is a man who is really doing this blade justice.... Dan has some skills!! He looks so calm afterwards... I would of been jumping up and down excited as could be :D

Dan has great technique but do not be mistaken he is Gorilla strong and very thick

I am not a tall guy but I am over 200 pounds

Hey Joe, Im in Philadelphia bud. Looks like your just north of me!!

I have enjoyed a bunch of your videos, I really enjoy the archery ones as well. I got myself a recurve bow a little while back but havent gotten to use it but 1 time outside so far. But my father competes in trad archery in Florida and just won 1st place in the Florida sunshine state tournament.

To echo what Joe said, Dan is a large guy, very thick, and very strong even if he doesn't look like a bodybuilder. He has an extensive sports background too. I know he wrestled at a high level for a long time.

And damn Joe, I didn't realize you were over 200! You do look thick though!
